Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has named Canada’s former finance minister Chrystia Freeland as an adviser on financial growth, a transfer he says will assist strengthen the “inside resilience” of the war-torn nation.
“Chrystia is very expert in these issues and has in depth expertise in attracting funding and implementing financial transformations,” he wrote on social media. “Proper now, Ukraine must strengthen its inside resilience – each for the sake of Ukraine’s restoration if diplomacy delivers outcomes as swiftly as doable, and to bolster our defence if, due to delays by our companions, it takes longer to carry this warfare to an finish.”
