IBM entered into a $17 million settlement settlement on Friday with the U.S. Division of Justice over allegations that it engaged in “unlawful DEI practices” by considering “race, colour, nationwide origin, or intercourse” in its hiring and promotions. The DOJ additionally alleged that IBM used funds from its authorities contract for DEI packages after which sought reimbursement.
