British Prime Minister Keir Starmer acknowledged Monday that he made the improper judgment when he appointed Peter Mandelson as UK ambassador to Washington, however stated he wouldn’t have carried out so if he had recognized Mandelson failed safety checks. Starmer is dealing with calls to resign after the revelation that Mandelson was given the job regardless of failing safety vetting. Mandelson was fired 9 months into the job over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
