“Teen takeovers” in Washington, DC, and elsewhere, defined

This spring, movies of youngsters gathering in large crowds in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Jacksonville, and other cities have gone viral. In a lot of the movies, you’ll see a whole bunch, typically 1000’s, of younger folks gathered in open areas or within the parking a number of eating places and malls. Oftentimes, it might look chaotic. These gatherings have been dubbed “takeovers.”
