A brand new lawsuit accuses Elon Musk’s synthetic intelligence firm of illegally spewing poisonous pollution into residential neighborhoods on the border of Tennessee and Mississippi.
The swimsuit, filed on Tuesday in Mississippi federal court docket, alleges xAI is violating the Clear Air Act as a result of emissions from its makeshift energy plant in Southaven, Mississippi, which powers its datacenter there. The NAACP, represented by environmental teams Southern Environmental Regulation Middle and Earthjustice, says xAI has been polluting areas with properties, colleges and church buildings, together with in traditionally Black communities, by utilizing dozens of methane fuel turbines with out permits.
